What makes you an On the Go Bride?
I am extremely busy with my career. As the Director of Marketing and Business Development for Bay Park Square Mall I usually work 60+ hours a week. On top of planning my wedding on was planning mall events, too! I also love to maintain an active lifestyle including running marathons, half marathons, and working out.
What did you find most challenging about planning your wedding as an On the Go Bride?
The most challenging aspect for me was trying to plan my wedding while maintaining a professional work environment during the day at my office. Although, my company is very supportive of family/work life balance.
What made the wedding planning process easier or helped save you time?
What helped me save time during planning was keeping several documents on a shared drive online and having open communication with all my vendors. It really helped that I’m local to the area as well.
What advice would you give to bride’s trying to plan their weddings while working?
My best advice would be to make sure you keep good notes. From calls to in person meetings with vendors. It helps to keep everything in one place, too. The shared documents online and a notebook in your purse or work bag helped too.
What special things or moments between you and your husband did you include in your wedding?
We had a ton of special things included in our day. From the surprise green and gold color of our cake to the final dance of just us in the ballroom. I think that final dance was the best. We had everyone clear out of the ballroom and shut the doors. It was just us and the band for one final dance. It was awesome.
What was your favorite memory from your wedding day?
My favorite memory…ah there is so many!!! I can name two….the moment walking down the aisle with my dad and seeing Mike ahead of me. He was grinning from ear to ear. It was awesome. The other memory was that final dance with just us two. It will always be such a special memory.
